George A. Coury, Patent Attorney

George Coury has extensive experience in all phases of securing intellectual property rights, as well as licensing and sale of technology and counseling of clients with respect to intellectual property rights. George has substantial familiarity with a wide range of technological fields including: petrochemistry; hydrocarbon refining; fuel cells; fluid handling; surgical and medical instruments; packaging; refrigeration; aerospace; electromagnetic controls; and software and control systems.

George earned his B.S. in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University in 1985, and his J.D., with honors, from Pace University School of Law in 1990.

George joined Bachman & LaPointe in 1991 and has worked with a wide variety of large and small U.S. and international corporate clients as well as individuals in developing and utilizing intellectual property rights. He has been a partner in the firm since 1997, and is currently managing partner.

George is admitted to practice in Connecticut and New York and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
